Etuko — the Ateso word for zebra — symbolizes bold individuality, unity in diversity, and the beauty of moving together. Just like a dazzle of zebras, we are a team of explorers, culture lovers, and storytellers, each with a distinct background but united by a shared love for East Africa and its untold stories.

Etuko Safaris was founded by three passionate travelers who saw something extraordinary in the everyday rhythms of life here : the way communities welcome strangers, the stillness of wild places at dawn, the power of a shared meal or story. We built Etuko Safaris to celebrate these moments and to connect travelers with the heart and soul of the region.

We specialise in crafting itineraries that blend wild adventure with cultural depth, allowing travelers to experience East Africa through the eyes of those who call it home. From sunrise game drives in the savannah to quiet moments in villages, we design trips that leave a lasting impression — on the traveler, and on the places they visit.

Brian Kayima, the dynamic Managing Director of Etuko Safaris, brings over a decade of rich experience in the travel and tourism industry. His deep passion for exploring the natural beauty and cultural heritage of East Africa has been the driving force behind Etuko Safaris' success.

Brian's love for travel and the outdoors is reflected in the bespoke tours he meticulously designs, ensuring each journey is unique and memorable. Under his leadership, Etuko Safaris has earned a stellar reputation for exceptional customer service and innovative travel experiences.

Director

Vickie's love for traveling and exploring new places inspired her to co-found Etuko Safaris, located in Uganda, the Pearl of Africa. Her diverse interests and dedication to her community make her a well-rounded individual, always eager to connect and share experiences.

She is a dynamic Ugandan businesswoman with a passion for reading, listening to music, and spending quality time with children. She thrives on making new friends and enjoys the excitement of watching soccer.

Paul Kisitu

Senior Tour Guide

With over a decade of experience guiding travelers through the heart of East Africa, Paul Kisitu is more than just a tour guide—he’s a storyteller, a cultural ambassador, and a passionate explorer of the wild.

Since joining the tourism industry in 2011, Paul has led countless safaris across Uganda and beyond, sharing his deep knowledge of wildlife, landscapes, and local traditions. His warm personality and genuine love for connecting with people make every journey with him unforgettable.

When he’s not out in the bush, Paul finds joy in music and books, often blending his love for rhythm and storytelling into the safari experience. Whether he's pointing out a rare bird species or sharing a traditional Ugandan folk tale around the campfire, Paul brings a unique spark to every adventure.
